So KSP on Wii U was announced during Nintendo's Nindies @ Night!

We are just so excited to be working with the amazing team at Squad and to be back on console. For the past few years we've been working behind the scenes with Qualcomm Technologies testing and improving the latest in mobile hardware as well as Nvidia and IBM's Watson tech with a few new technologies that we're still working on. We're still doing themes, and optimization for other console games as we're not a fan of long loading times.

But I'm sure you're the most interested in knowing that KSP is running smoothly on all platforms. It looks amazing and we're doing our absolute best to bring the KSP experience to console, and to gamers of all ages.

Keep checking back for updates!

Awesome! I'm so excited to play KSP while sitting on my couch. My poor laptop is too old to play the newest versions...

I never thought about the Wii U, depending on how the touchscreen is used it might be worth looking into.

Hi there,
I recently watched the XBOX1 footage of KSP at DICE and I was very concerned to see it running so poorly. Physics timer in the yellow with only 75 parts. And a slideshow at the end of the video. Why is this?

It would be nice if the "check back later for updates" was successful... It has been 8 months since the post

I'm playing this on the PS4 right now, and you should know that it's probably the buggiest game I have ever played on any console (and I go back to the Atari 2600). The game FREQUENTLY crashes, and about 50% of the time it corrupts the save files. Given that there are two different types of career modes, both of them taking a lot of time investment, this is a HUGE problem. I honestly don't know how this made it through Sony's QA process. I hear the XB1 version has the same issues. Not really acceptable for a $40 game.

But that said? This game is just so much fun that I'm working around the game crashing bugs. I learned the spots where they happen the most often, and I've been carefully managing save files to make sure that in the 100% eventuality of a crash I'll still have a copy of my recent progress. I like it enough to put up with it.

But that should not be happening on a $40 game. The game itself is worth every penny, but you know, it very regularly crashes and corrupts your save files.

The explanation Squad gives is a reasonable one. Flying Tiger was given an early version of the PC game to begin porting, and that version was buggy on PC as well. I have no doubt that it crashed frequently, but did it corrupt save files? Might have, but backing up and managing save files is a lot easier on a PC. Flying Tiger has said nothing, outside of a "a fix is coming" tweet I didn't see but heard about. Neither company has given any kind of timeline on when a patch or update will be available. I understand that they have to work with Sony and MS processes to put out an update, but no one has even said "a patch has been submitted, we're waiting for it to be approved" or anything. This game desperately needs fixing, but we're getting radio silence and a few vague generalities.

Hey David,
A patch is in testing. It should be out soon.

Exactly his point. "This game desperately needs fixing, but we're getting radio silence and a few vague generalities. " and you say simply "A patch is in testing. It should be out soon. "

What are you focusing on, what can we expect to be fixed. Is it going to fix the game saving? because I frequently find quicksave doesn't work on the XB1, Is it going to fix that or just the corrupt saves? Is it going to fix the right click problems where you need to restart the game and leave you unable to set a focus, manoeuvre node or interact with your vessel?

Do you guys do testing? did you not try to complete the game you helped make? Did it not occur to you to fix things as you come across them? Do you need a tester? I will work for free... I'll actually try to complete the game and give you reports on bugs so they can be fixed BEFORE they are released to the public if you need it.

This comment was left a month ago. Please provide your definition of "soon", so that I may adjust my baseline for when I can expect to be able to play the game that I paid for six weeks ago.

3 months later and still no patch. What is your definition of "soon"? This entire console port is a huge disaster.

Are you going to release the broken edition V1.1 first there so they need to go thru weeks of QA and re testing a known faulty product on the WII too? Still waiting for an update as to when we should expect and what fixes to expect. I might be waiting for fixes that aren't even planned, but we don't know because nobody is giving good information.........
